7 million uncontrolled killers on the loose in UK

Isn't it time something was done about this mass irresponsible behaviour ?

Glastonbury, as a strong community, could become the first town in Britain to banish these unwanted killers from our countryside; and like several Australian states, insist that they be kept locked indoors, and not allowed to roam loose.

[Alternative solution : when properly prepared and cooked, I can personally attest that they taste remarkably like rabbit.]

But sweet and cuddly social 'companions' they are NOT.

I agree with Martin, some of these cats are just clearly out of control :(

While I don't dispute the figures, one has to remember that there are 62 million (give or take) humans in the UK. Many of these take pleasure in torturing and killing unecessarily. Cats are obligate carnivores; humans are not. The only reason people eat animals is because they enjoy the taste/texture etc. They do not need meat in their diets.

Animals (including cats and other creatures they prey upon) are used in vivisection. Again this is not necessary. Pharma is big business and humans are too lazy to find alternatives. Hunting, shooting and fishing are human pleasures that cause the unnecessary death and suffering of millions of creature

Cats do not understand ethics or morality; humans do.

Perhaps this is why people regard cats as sweet and cuddly social companions.

The population of cats is there purely because of the human requirement for them. That is also the fault of the human not the cat. Irresponsible humans to blame yet again.

Perhaps humans should be incarcerated and not allowed to roam loose; perhaps humans should examine their own hypocritical behaviour before maligning other species.
