Interviews for next years students are already well under way at Strode College and once again the applications for places are coming in early for the BTEC Broadcastmedia course. The course which is a level three extended National Diploma gives the same number of UCAS points as studying three A levels and so is an alternative way to get to university. Past students have gone onto to study further at H.E. and/or working within the industry.

The course is practically based and is ideal for students who know that their career is in media but want to develop practical skills and an understanding that are required and expected. Research, pre-production, recording, post production, regulatory bodies and mucg more. As we move into a truly media dominated world the understanding you develop on this course is useful in so many aspects of commerce and industry. We encourage a multi-skills approach as this is what the industry now expects from the media literate elite. This course is for those that want to develop 'professional abilities' not just post an average Youtube clip.

You have the opportunity to make radio shows and features, viral adverts, multicamera mixing, music videos, editing, image manipulation and underpinned with an awareness of the ever everloving digital media landscape. To find out more about the course check out details on the college website here.

You can also check out the course Youtube channel where you can see past work from Broadcast Media Music students at Strode College alternatively check out the course Facebook page.
