Casualties air-lifted to hospital following A39 collision

Two people were trapped in their vehicles following a collision on the A39 yesterday.

After Fire Crews from Wells and Glastonbury released the casualties, they were flown to hospital by air ambulance.

The incident took place at 12.25pm on Wednesday 17 October near Green Ore, close to the junction of the A39 and the B3135.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.
