The London-based Imperial College String Ensemble is staying at Paddington Farm in Glastonbury later this month and has offered to perform a fundraising concert to help raise money to support the farm's many on-going projects.

The concert will take place between 1 & 2pm on Sunday 22nd January at St. Benedict's Church, Benedict Street and the programme for this concert is as follows:

Mendelssohn - Sinfonia No. 9 in C Major

Delius - Air and Dance

Karl Jenkins - Palladio

Paddington Farm Trust is a 43 acre organic farm in Wick at the foot of the Tor and offers recreational and educational holidays for children and young people from disadvantaged urban areas as well as volunteering opportunities for people from Glastonbury and the area, and vocational training for local young people.   Additionally it also produces organic fruit and vegetables grown there by Torganics and is building up an organic meat enterprise.

Paddington Farm, like many other charities, is seeing the financial landscape changing all the time and so the farm staff and Trustees are working hard to adapt and work towards new income streams and creative charitable events to support the work of the Trust.  Accordingly they are inviting anyone who would like to listen to some beautiful string music on a Sunday lunchtime to come along to the event.  The use of the church has been offered for free and it would be good to see it filled.

Tickets are available by donation either by telephoning the Paddington Farm Trust on 01458 832752 (10am - 1pm Mon - Fri) or by emailing info@paddingtonfarm.co.uk.
