Glastonbury & Street Library opening hours increase from Monday

Following the outcome of the post-judicial review Somerset County Council meeting held on Wednesday 11th January 2012 in which proposed cuts to public library services in Somerset were reversed, the opening hours of the majority of Somerset County Council libraries are being reinstated from this coming Monday (6th February 2012).

The libraries of Burnham-on-Sea, Castle Cary, Chard, Cheddar, Crewkerne, Frome, Glastonbury, Ilminster, Langport, Martock, Minehead, Shepton Mallet, Somerton, Street, Wells, Williton, Wincanton and Wiveliscombe will therefore all see their opening hours extended from Monday, while those in Bridgwater, Dulverton, Taunton, Wellington and Yeovil will see their hours increased from Monday 5th March 2012.

As from Monday the opening hours at Glastonbury Library will be:

Monday:         10:00am to 5:00pm

Tuesday:          10:00am to 6:00pm

Wednesday:    Closed

Thursday:    10:00am to 6:00pm

Friday:    10:00am to 5:00pm

Saturday:    10:00am to 4:00pm

Sunday:     Closed

Meanwhile Street Library will be opening on:

Monday:    9:30am to 6:00pm

Tuesday:    Closed

Wednesday:     9:30am to 5:00pm

Thursday:    9:30am to 5:00pm

Friday:    9:30am to 6:00pm

Saturday:    9:30am to 4:00pm

Sunday:    Closed
