Family-owned and run local transport operator, Sparks Transport of Glastonbury has been selected to appear in the annual Scania calendar 2012. Scania is a major manufacturer of trucks, buses, coaches and engines for industrial and marine operations, and this year its calendar features a unique set of images captured and produced by top photographer Bryan Winstanley, who is based in Manchester. Every year the collectible calendar is produced to be more eye-catching and impressive than before, and for this year's offering Bryan has effectively used a combination of colour and black and white in a single image, to produce superlative effects.

"We were absolutely delighted to be approached to participate in the 2012 Scania calendar," said Jonathan Sparks, Transport Manager of Sparks Transport. "The calendar always attracts a huge amount of attention and is very much regarded as a showcase for our industry. With regard to our photograph, we think the image Bryan has created is truly outstanding."

Chris Love, Brand and Communications Manager for Scania (Great Britain) Limited added "In each case the location had to be scouted and, in some instances, permissions gained. Conditions had to be just right on the day of the shoot and each image manipulated afterwards to ensure a similar 'feel' from month to month. We are delighted with the result and believe it is our best calendar yet".

Demand for the calendar has been so enthusiastic that demand has far exceeded supply, so if you would like to take a look and online copy can be found here.

I believe this says a lot about the standing of this local company within the haulage industry.

It must certainly be a feather in the cap of Sparks transport , and in my opinion also reflects

    positively Glastonbury.

So congratulations to all at Sparks transport ,and may you continue to prosper in these times

of austerity, and high fuel costs.
