Budding Glastonbury photographers only have two days left to submit their inspiring Somerset snapshots to the Communities in Focus national photographic competition.

Local photographers can submit their photos into two categories - inspiring images of community life, and photos of projects funded by the Big Lottery Fund making a positive difference to people and communities.

One winner will be selected from each category and will receive two great prizes; a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and photography training course

You can visit the Big Lottery Fund Grants website for details of local projects.

Above are examples of the types of photos submitted so far, so if you feel you can do Glastonbury illustrative justice you can enter now at www.mediatrust.org. Entries can also be made via the Cam360 iPhone app.

All entries must be supplied with a caption explaining when the photo was taken and how it illustrates what is brilliant about Somerset or a Big Lottery Fund project. Full details can be found on the Media Trust website.

In just two days time, on 19 December 2012 at 11.59pm, the competition closes and entries can no longer be made.

The Communities in Focus photographic competition was launched by the Big Lottery Fund and national charity Media Trust, in partnership with the Thisis and LocalPeople community websites sites run by Visit Northcliffe Digital - including Glastonbury People.
