The Penis Monologues - Glastonbury Assembly Rooms

Glastonbury Assembly Rooms will be showcasing a unique performance this Friday, entitled the Penis Monologues.
This show is written and directed by Robert Watts and although it may seem to be a response to Ensler's landmark performance piece, The Vagina Monologues, the show is said to be an ironic riff on the show's concept.
The Penis Monologues is a volatile roller coaster of a tribute, not to male genitalia, but to all men and how they're different from women in general and, specifically, Ensler herself.
It aims aims to give its own male-oriented perspective after the success and crucial acclaim of the Vagina Monologues.
The show has been described in the past as an "uneven show, which is either a highly successful attempt at subtle parody or a terribly unsuccessful examination of a serious topic."
Reviewers have for the most part praised the show, describing it as "crude, rude and downright funny."
The two-hour show will take place at the Glastonbury Assembly rooms on October 12 and doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
Tickets cost £5 on the door.
