Glastonbury Policing
Officers are investigating in excess of 50 incidents in which cars have damaged by an offender or offenders who have sprayed vehicles with yellow paint and residents across Avon and Somerset are being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around vehicles.
In Glastonbury it seems that several cars were targeted in the Mendip Ditstrict Council car park to the rear of St. Benedict's School car park as well as further down Benedict Street, and the paint used is permanent, although it is not known if there is any definite link between the attacks in Glastonbury and those in other towns.
Anyone who may have information about those responsible for these incidents is also asked to call police on 101 or alternatively anonymously call the independent charity Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111. They will never ask your name or trace your call.

Comments
Our car was one of the unfortunate ones to get a yellow wavy line spray painted in the side.
We reported it be that was at 6:30am on Friday morning & at that time no-one else had reported it but clearly as the day went on more 7 more people saw the damage to their cars.
Mindless isn't the word, don't understand the need to do it, WHY?
I think it was probably a 'let's see how many we can do in a night' as it was several counties wide in the end.
Probably some new craze.
SAD. :-(
