A Question Time debate between the four Police Crime Commissioner Election Candidates is taking place tomorrow in Taunton.
-
The Police Crime Commissioner elections will take place on 15 November 2012
The candidates will face a grilling at this event organised by the Community Council for Somerset and Voscur who support, develop and represent Bristol's voluntary and community sector.
The debate will put the candidates under a spotlight and give the public a chance to have their say and ascertain what the candidates are going to do to tackle crime in their local areas.
The candidates are:
Liberal Democrat: Pete Levy, 51, a Police Constable, Royal Military Police officer and Bristol City Councillor.
Conservative: Ken Maddock, 68, who is a Mendip District Councillor and was previously the leader of Somerset County Council.
Independent: Sue Mountstevens, 57, a Bristol magistrate and former member of the Avon and Somerset Police Authority.
Labour: John Savage, 67, chairman of an NHS hospital trust and executive chairman of Bristol Chamber of Commerce and Initiative.
The event will take place from 7 – 9pm on Tuesday November 6 at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton.
To book a place at the Question Time event you can visit the Voscur website, and for more information on the debate contact Keeley Rudd on 01823 331222 or e-mail keeley@somersetrcc.org.uk.
