It's had a huge dent in the funding thanks to SCC but have you ever really thought how devastating a loss it would be if we lost this amazing arts venue? Not only does it regularly screen an outstanding programme of niche cinema viewings alongside manistream blockbusters, it stages local amdram and national theatre, ballet, opera, comedy, musicals, pantomime, one-man shows, college productions, art exhibitions, orchestral performances and on and on......go and see something soon and know you're helping it to survive the cuts. Go on, you won't regret it!

ReportThis is a great little theatre, about 340 seats, and plays host to a wide array of events including pantomime, theatre, talks, comedy, ballet and film. The PA and lighting are superb for theatre, while the cinema shows many films that don't show in other local cinemas (and not just arty subtitled ones either). There's a new digital projector recently installed (about 3 weeks ago), and there's a friendly atmosphere to be had at any event. With County Arts funding cut by 100%, there's no better time to pop along and see what's happening!

Reportits been some years since I visited Strode Theatre but I was very impressed on the improvements that have taken place. The theatre is now modern looking and really well suited to a range of purposes.
I will be watching their forthcoming shows list with interest as this is a really pleasant venue to attend.
