Recently went to Glastonbury and ate at the Blue note. Very disappointed, the table was sticky and covered in dirty dishes which we had to clear up and stack ourselves. Food was tastelss, expensive and passed its sell by date. Had falafal with pita bread and hummus which came with a tired salad of a few leaves and little else. The hummus came with a long blonde hair in it which totally put me off eating any more. I would not recommend it and would advise people to eat elsewhere. To add insult to injury the staff were quite surly. .

The Blue Note Cafe on Glastonbury High Street serves some fantastic vegetarian grub, including great tasting veggie burgers and schnitzel. As youd expect from Glastonbury, everyone here is very friendly and the atmosphere is incredibly laidback. Theres also a big outside seating area which is lovely in good weather.

ReportUnlike NigelaAwesome i have loved the food every time i have been in there, very nice and well cooked, the staff arent too helpful and all look like a bunch of college and school kids that dont know what they are on about but the food that i have eaten in there is very nice and the hot chocolate is one to recomend, great for in the winter and in the summer lovely to sit and have breakfast in the courtyard in the sun.
The blue note has a great vibe, there's no denying that and a lovely outside courtyard which is rare for Glast. But the food is expensive and not brilliant - I have been disappointed on the two occassions I ate there, I would not go back for a third attempt. Bland and pricey. The tables are often grubby too.

ReportThis could be a great little place, and I would love to use it more, but unfortunately it can often just about manage to be average and I find it a bit uninspiring.
The food is overpriced for what you get, and although this is a vegetarian cafe I find as a vegan very little choice and often the staff isn't very knowledgeable about what they are selling.
It can be a welcome respite from the rain and cold in the winter, while on a sunny day the outside seating area at the rear, with a buzzing atmosphere and always someone ready for a chat, is a glorious place to sit. This to an extent makes up for the shortfall in the food, but with just a little more effort this place could be wonderful.
