Imperial College String Ensemble will be holding a classical concert to help raise funds for Paddington Farm Trust, a Glastonbury based charity which offers recreational and educational holidays for children and young people from disadvantaged urban centres, and activities and vocational training for youngsters from local towns and villages. The funds from the concert will go towards buying fruit trees and fencing for a new orchard we are planting at the farm in February, which will give our young visitors an opportunity to eat fruit straight from the trees!
Imperial College String Ensemble are students who continue their musicianship while studying at University. This concert will not only raise funds for Paddington Farm but also gives the Ensemble an opportunity to perform to a new audience.
The concert will take place on Sunday 20th January at 2.30pm at St. Benedict's Church, St. Benedict's St, Glastonbury. The repetoire includes Handel, Grieg, Telemann and Sibelius. Entry is by donation, so please give generously! For more details please contact Paddington Farm Trust on info@paddingtonfarm.co.uk or 01458 832752 (Mornings Mon-Fri).
