Hi all this is quite urgent,,,we have a gig tomorrow night and one of our microphones has bit the dust has anybody got a half decent one they could loan me and pix until sunday afternoon

If you dont have any luck, Ive got an SM58 radio mic, but there is a slightly dodgy rf gain pot on the mic, so I need to test/fix it. Are you able to pick it up from Shepton?

oops lol sorry i had the 57 in my mind the 58 would be excellent i got two 57's but they can't compete with Dona's mic and vocals and the other vocal mic's kicked it sorry chaps me heads in bit's, i need it well before tomorrow evening so whens good

No probs mate. My 58 seems to be needing some solder and a micro pot (be straightforward if it wasn't a radio mic) so youd be better off not using it. A 57 is the same as a 58 if you stick a pop shield on (lessen poping and proximity effect) - the old wired mic's (which I cant find so are prob in my store unit in sparkford) are '58' clones, and are are pretty tinny. Better than nothing (and were once useful for backing vocalists) but even still youd be way better off with a 57. Sorry mate, thought I might be able to help, but my radio mic will just be a hinderence....
