There is a lot of very inspiring poetry around Glastonbury, but few gatherings that explore this. The Poets in Avalon monthly event is always interesting and well worth a visit. So too is the Poetry by Candlelight event held monthly at La Terra. I would have imagined there would be scope for a weekly or fortnightly poetry event as these aforementioned evenings are always very well attended. Does anyone know of any others? I have heard there is something at Bridie's Yard, but again, it doesn't seem that regular.

That's interesting Shelly; if and when you hear of any poetry events could you post them in the listings section to enable more people to hear about them - including the venue, date, time etc. I think there are occasional poetry meetings at the Lazy Gecko too (or at least there used to be).

There is also a Bardic Group in Glastonbury : http://tinyurl.com/2um5en2 I've not heard the newly appointed Bard yet but the previous one, David Reakes was fantastic - both his material and his presentation was faultless.
