wow, is it just me or has there been a few too many police cars on market cross lately? i even saw a cctv van parked up there last week - how great for a tourist town

LOL! Yes I've noticed that; and believe it or not I even took a photo of the CCTV van about a week ago as proof...!!!

Yesterday evening at 8pm there was a police van, car and an ambulance parked up at the Abbey Car Park - and the police were all wearing blue latex gloves - either something had kicked off or they have a weird fetish - dunno what was happening there. Anyone else know?

Well there does seem to be a lot of hassle in the area at times.

One local resident reported to us this morning that she was woken up in her property in Magdalene Street in the early hours (around 12.30am) by a group of 7 or 8 youths on BMXs being extremely rowdy and using a traffic cone as a loud hailer; normally she would have found it funny, but having to get up at 5.30am today she was less than impressed. She did report it to the Local Police, and then today received a follow-up call from PCSO Shelley Day asking if she could recognise/identify the gang if necessary, so no doubt they had gone on from this relatively harmless bit of fun to cause havoc elsewhere in town (although of course that's just my suspicious mind reading between the lines!).

What makes me Laugh is that when Pilton was on, the police was everywhere, on the bypass the were there with the speed traps at the bottom of Roman way, and one set up near Sainsbury's in street. also the two that were hidden near Morrisons, any other time of the year they are as rare as hens teeth. and Kids drive down that bypass at incredible speed skipping red light's etc (bring back the Birch LOL)
