Celebrated comedian and actor Lenny Henry will be performing in Street this November.
Lenny's one man show, POP LIFE, will be touring nationally from October 8 and he will be gracing Strode Theatre with his presence on November 20.
The comedian has always had a passion for music and, having recently passed his grade four piano exam, he will be playing the piano in front of an audience for the first time.
Lenny has admitted that he is nervous about performing musically in front of a live audience saying: "It will be a nerve-wracking experience, but really good fun!"
POP LIFE has been described as a "joyous freaky show about just how music goes better with everything and how it affects us in all our lives."
The show isn't just about music though as the reviews have described a hilarious joyride through Lenny's life and career, through the medium of music and his widely appreciated sharp sense of humour. Lenny also intends to share his views on the Olympic and Paralympic fever that has swept the Nation and open up about his friends and family.
The show will take place on Monday November 20 Strode Theatre, Church Road, Street at 8pm.
Tickets cost £22.50 and can be bought on the Strode Theatre website http://tinyurl.com/9lc9f9e or by calling the box office on 01458 442 846.
