Glastonbury Crime file week of 4th April 2011

Glastonbury

Some time between 26 – 28 March, unknown person(s) removed the Mercedes emblem from the bonnet of a Mercedes car that was parked near the entrance to Morrisons Supermarket, Oriel Drive, Glastonbury.

Some time between 23.00 on 31 March and 11.00 on 1 April, offender(s) unknown ripped the driver's side wing mirror from its mount on a Peugeot 407 motor vehicle parked in Roman Way, Glastonbury. This wing mirror was on the pavement side. The paintwork was also keyed along the length of the vehicle causing deep scratches.

At 10.15 on 2 April, unknown offender(s) drove into a yard in Westhay Road, Meare. They loaded up a pallet of steel bars from the ground into a blue Ford transit van and drove off in the direction of Ashcott.

A 27 year old male from Penzance, Cornwall was arrested on 2 April for theft of a bottle of wine from Co-Operative Stores, High Street, Glastonbury.

On 2 April unknown offender(s) gained access to a garden at the rear of a property in Northload Street, Glastonbury and tipped over plant pots and pulled up flowers and shrubs from the ground. Gravel was also thrown around the garden.

Some time on 2 or 3 April, offender(s) unknown removed the flowers from the pots on High Street, Glastonbury and damaged them so they cannot be repotted.

Street

Some time over the last three months, unknown offender(s) forced entry to a derelict bungalow in Farm Lane, Street. Copper piping, wiring and the water tank were removed from within the property.

A 33 year old female from Street received an official caution for theft after admitting taking various cosmetic items that belonged to the British Heart Foundation, Farm Road, Street on 30 March.
