It has started snowing quite heavily in Glastonbury since 8am.  

The main roads were quite clear, although icy in places before this, but after just 30 minutes of snow they are now quite white.

First buses appear to be running through the town at the moment, but with weather conditions deteriorating services may be withdrawn shortly.  Best check before travelling.

Travelling on the M5 is treacherous with very poor visibility and two lanes are completely closed in each direction between junctions 26 and 31.  Elsewhere in the county driving conditions are hazardous.
