Another blast of arctic weather has hit Glastonbury today.  As I looked out of my window before 7am today I see that a pristine white blanket is coating the landscape and it all looks to be very festive.

The main roads appear to be passable but as yet I haven't ventured out.

Berry's coaches have cancelled all of their school services in the area due to the conditions and the following schools are closed on the last day of term:

Baltonsborough CofE VC Primary School

Butleigh Church of England Primary School

St. Dunstan's Glastonbury

West Pennard Church of England Primary School

Firstbus buses are still running through Glastonbury although again it may be worth checking with the operator.

There may be further snow today, although it is anticipated that snowfall will be heavier in the area tomorrow.

It has started snowing quite heavily again - the main road between Glastonbury and Wells is starting to look like a country road and the snow is settling.

Traffic is moving slowly out of Glastonbury towards Shepton Mallet, although currently Shepton itself is less severely affected.
