I have always been scared of going to the hairdressers as I have really curly hair and I would always find that I would walk out of a salon unhappy and inevitably with a cut too short! After being recommended by a trusted friend I decided to visit Nicky. I immediately felt welcomed by Nicky and found her easy to talk to. She gave me lots of time to find out what I wanted/needed and about my past experiences and did not make me feel guilty for not having been to a professional hairdresser for a long time! Nicky's therapy room is warm and clean and you know that the space is dedicated to you which is really nice and a really unique experience. Nicky gave me useful advice about products when I asked her and I have changed my hair products now and have seen a massive difference in my hair. Beyond giving a haircut I was happy with and not feeling like half had been chopped away once it curled back up, Nicky gave an amazing head and shoulder massage that left me feeling happy and relaxed. Thank you for your individual service Nicky and for providing it at such an affordable price. 5 stars!

The Perfect Treat!

I've been seeing Nicky at Holistic Hairdressing and Healing for a number of years now and I can't recommend her highly enough. It is the perfect treat now going for a haircut. Her home salon is beautifully presented, modern, clean and cosy, the envy of any high street salon and within easy walking distance from anywhere in Glastonbury. It really is like going to your very own 'private' hair salon. Hot tea / coffee of your choice is presented to begin your 'me' time. No idle chit chat, no awful music playing in the background, no chemical smells of hairdye, no sense of being 'rushed' so the next client can be seen; In her calm and professional space, this beautiful and talented hairdresser is there to give you 100% attention. Not only do you get the 'hair makeover' of your choice, professional advice and a confident ear to listen, Nicky's skills as a Reiki Practitioner and Massage therapist are the icing on the cake. After a visit to this hairdresser, you will come away not only looking fresh but feeling very relaxed and so much more renewed. (And you won't be feeling ill from the use of Toxic shampoos and products because Nicky uses the very best of natural products which nourish the hair). I cannot recommend a visit to Nicky enough - whether you live locally or visit Glastonbury for 'retreat', this hairdresser should definitely be in your phone book!

AMAZING!

I was very nervous about my appointment as I hadn't been to a hair dresser in about 6 years and am not a big fan of the in and out high street places. Nicola soon put mind at ease and made me feel so relaxed. The whole experience was great, the hair cut is fab! The head massage was soooo nice and relaxing. I only wish I lived closer (I'm in southampton) and could go regularly.
Would highly recommend Nicola to anyone!

The best hairdresser ever

I meet Nicola a few years ago when she requested flowers for her salon and at that time had always had long wavy hair. Over the years I had developed a bit of a fear of hairdressers and would not have my hair cut for months and months. Nicola made me feel so comfortable and really cared about my hair and thanks to her wonderful service I gained the confidence to have my hair cut into a fantastic funky (much shorter) hair style. I absolutely love it and feel so liberated and now feel like there are so many possiblities. Every time I visit Holistic hairdressing I come out feeling totally relaxed with new funky hair, thanks Nicola I'm so glad your hairdresser.
If you are like me and feared the high street salon and fancy a proper pampering then I really recommend going to see Nicola ,shes ace!!!

The most relaxing experience I have had!

Being a woman I am of course very choosy over who does my hair for me. I only moved to the area last year and as a result had to leave my regular hairdresser who did my hair for over 7 yrs as she is now 90 mins away! I have had a few cuts at salons in the area and just didn't feel right and felt completely out of place the salons. As soon as I made my first appointment with Nicky I felt at ease with the decision. On arrival to her lovely home I was shown into her dedicated salon, which is beautifully light and airy, immaculately clean and she had some very calm music playing in the background. We had a chat for ages while I drank me tea (she makes an ace cuppa!), putting the world to rights and chatting about my past experiences of hairdressing and the stresses in my life. I didnt feel at all nervous about having someone new cutting my hair and Nicky did a great job! From my past local experiences I have had to do a little 'touch up' myself but not this time, Nicky cut and styled my hair just how I like it. She has the healing hands of an Angel too! I had a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck and Nicky soothed them away with ease, her talent still amazes me.
I returned home so relaxed even my partner noticed the difference! Having a house full of kids and studying towards a degree Nicky's treatments are perfect to ease the stresses away, not to mention she has the same sense of humour as I do! As well as being a great hairdresser she offers Reiki healing and Hopi ear candle treatments and is very environmentally conscious.
I would recommend Nicky to anyone, especially those who lead a particularly stressful life or dislike the whole highstreet salon experience. Her rates are very good, I had a cut, dry and massage for £15 as Nicky was running a promotion at the time....an absolute bargain! I will now be a regular and look forward to my next appointment.

Wonderful!

As much as I like being pampered, I'm a bit 'iffy' about alternative therapies, more often than not am put off by some of the people who offer them in Glastonbury. Nicky, who runs Holistic Hairdressing & Healing is perfect for someone like me, as she is completely approachable and 'normal!!
She runs her service from her very lovely family home, in an immaculate therapy room which is spotlessly clean, modern and fresh. She welcomes you with a cup of organic tea (she had already thought ahead and prepared me a ginger and honey brew as I had a cold) and then spends some time chatting through what is going on in your life. She isn't there to counsel you but more to get a sense of what you may 'need' and is so easy to talk to it wasn't long before I felt better for offloading some grumbles that I had about life in general! She then began on my hair - used lavender based products to wash and condition and then gave me a haircut. She suggested a slight change to my normal style which I have to say, I am really pleased with. She then gave me a neck and shoulder massage and Reiki. It was incredibly relaxing and uplifting to say the least! After styling my hair, she then put me on the massage chair and worked on my back for a few minutes. The whole experience was an absolute treat but one which I will now continue with regularly. She is a very very good hairdresser but the combination of that with the other treatments is just wonderful.
Nicky offers a range of treatments, I had one and a half hours of hairstyling, intuitive neck, shoulder massage, Reiki and a back treatment which costs £30. Worth every penny! She also offers full Reiki sessions, arm and hand massage and Hopi Ear Candle treatments.
