For those of us who appreciate character, warm and friendly staff, then this little hotel has it all. Regular music events, curry evenings it is also the perfect place to celebrate your birthday or another event. The owner Simon is also very supportive of his trainees and supports young staff members to achieve their apprenticeships in Hospitality.

ReportNow despite living in Glastonbury for nigh on 15 years, Hawthorns is one of those places which has always been a bit of a mystery - is it a hotel? A restaurant? Well it is both, and is also a bar, which means the likes of you and I can just go in and have a drink. Relaxed, comfy decor - sofas, nooks and crannies, 'living room' feel to it. Dining areas and an outside space. Not a huge selection of beers but the mainstay curry menu is renowned for being superb. Go there.

I stayed here in the original Georgian townhouse. We had an en suit room with all the expected facilities. The price was really reasonable at £75 a night and this included an excellent cooked breakfast; they even had the option of a vegan one. We spent quite a lot of time in the bar which was really pleasant, converted from a stable block. The restaurant had a great variety of dishes including vegetarian and foods from around the world. All in all I really enjoyed my stay here and would come again.
