I went to my local animal feed supplier in Glastonbury, (Avalon Feed supplies) & I found a great pressie for my hens! I am telling you because so many people are now keeping hens and love them as I do! What pleased me was not only was the 'Natures Grub poultry' only just over £3 (which was perfect) but that a donation from the sale goes to British Hen Welfare Trust. Which is lovely too! So if you are pondering what to get a friend or family member who is as hen crazy as me...look no further!

Great service, friendly & informative.
I can highly recommend them, I went in on Saturday and Chris (one of the owners, Kim his wife the other) was there and he helped by carrying the heavy, layers pellets, corn & bedding (for our hopefully new chickens) to the car and advised/discussed hens and husbandry.
It was so nice to have time spent with you and questions answered without feeling foolish for asking them, I love to support local businesses but as we are all constrained to saving money I had done my homework on prices & they were cheaper than Mole Valley Farmers & Tincknells, so I will be a regular now!!By Holistic Hairdressing & Healing in Glastonbury at 08:04 on 24/10/11
