I've eaten in this place 5 or 6 times since the cafe opened. I like the cosmopolitan style and the initial Spanish/Portuguese Tapas influence on the menu. I believe that Paola is no longer running the place and as a consequence La Terre has gone down hill. My last visit included a 45 minute wait to get a coffee. First coffee was cold, second one was a cup of froth, it was third time lucky. My falafel was soggy and cold. Staff very uncoordinated. They tried to charge me for beers I hadn't drunk! Visit before that was just as bad. I did give them a second chance but I think I'll leave it for a few months to see if they can get it together. Laughable.

Laughable.
I went here with a group of nine, having booked in advance. Once seated, at a not so clean table, it took a very, very long time for the waitresses to serve us. After we placed our order, it again took a very, very (serious) long time for the food being brought over, only to discover that our order was seriously messed up. The waitress became confused and in the end we just ate what was being served. I took notes on what was being served to us, since I expected the bill to be a mess as well. As it indeed turned out to be. The food was alright, not something to become excited about, but the service was really bad and disappointing, especially since no excuse was made by either the waitresses nor the owner.

ReportMy daughter and I went here on Mothers Day, just for a lunch time snack so weren't looking for a full menu. It was heaving first time round so had to wait for a bit and go back when a table was free. Unfortunately, it seemed that we became invisible when we stepped foot in the place, the waitresses were serving everyone around us (including those coming in after us) and we sat patiently for ages (at a grubby table) before I got impatient and had to go and find my own menu. Again, we waited for ages to have our orders taken, being ignored until I had to summon a waitress who glared sullenly at me when I said we had been waiting for a long time. She took our orders and we then proceeded to wait for another 20 minutes to have our drinks brought over, again after having to prompt the staff. the same waitress also deigned to come and wipe the table over, using a cloth which was dirty and actually smeared crumbs etc. The food eventually arrived and was good, but have to say I was really disappointed with the service.

Loved it! We went just to try it out and even though we didn't book in advance, the manager Paola found us a table immediately. The music was excellent and gave the place an amazing night-time atmosphere. The service was excellent, pacey but relaxed and not too in your face. We all enjoyed the food especially as it was a bit more exciting than the usual Glastonbury fare and it didn't break the bank. Overall, we had a great night out, will go again and would certainly recomend to anyone looking for a lively night out when most of Glastonbury is fast asleep. PS. Best wine list I've seen in ages!
