There's plenty on for Glastonbury people to enjoy this week so it's time to face the weather, get out of the house and enjoy local activities.

This week is your last chance to enjoy Somerset Art Weeks, and there are plenty of artists holding demonstrations and exhibitions around Glastonbury.

Highlights of the Art Weeks in Glastonbury include demonstrations and exhibitions by painter Paul Branson and stained glass artists Richard Pelham and Christian Feser at the Red Brick Building.

Baroque musician Jennifer Bennett will also be performing tomorrow (September 27) for Somerset Art Weeks at the Heavenly Path Fine Art Gallery. For more information click here.

Glastonbury has a lot more on offer during the Art Weeks so take advantage and find out more about your local artists involved by clicking here.

If you fancy an evening out of the house this week there is plenty going on at the King Arthur Pub in Glastonbury.

House band and local musicians, Hot Sister, will be playing with other bands at the pub's weekly Glastonbury 'Live' event tonight (September 26) from 8.30 – Midnight.

Reggae, Dub and Ska band Second Natjah will be performing at the pub on Friday and on Saturday Lester Clayton will be performing his calming mix of acoustic folk and reggae with his trio of musicians Midnight. Entry on Saturday will cost £3.

Fundraisers for Macmillan Cancer Support are holding coffee mornings all over the country and Glastonbury people can have a brew and a biscuit for the charity nearby at the Victoria Club in Street on Friday morning.

The monthly Mystic Earth and Spirit Fayre is taking place at the Assembly Rooms this weekend and is ideal for locals wanting to exercise their psychic side.

You will be given the opportunity to experience spiritual musical performances, dowsing demonstrations, lectures, workshops and much more. To find out more, visit the Mystic Earth and Spirit Fayre website.

And lastly, for those who like to spend the weekend spending, shoppers at Clarks Village are being treated to a 'Style Week' starting Saturday 29 which includes discounts galore and fashionable giveaways.

Clarks Village style spies will also be on the look-out for the best-dressed Clarks Village shopper.

There are exclusive vouchers already available to download on the Clarks Village Website for the Style Week for thrifty Glastonbury shoppers.

Indeed. Pandas and Badgers look much the same to me, and I really should get my eyes tested before I go out with a shotgun, but hey ho.

After a fruitful day of pointless slaughter, we'll cook up a big pan of badger stew for tea up at Bushy Combe, weave some lentils , and spend the early evening chemtrail spotting. Bootiful.

    Ooohh, yes please!
Ever since big game panda-hunting was stopped because the Duke of Edinburgh got too old to organize the shoots any more, I've been at a loose end.

If anyone wants to join me in a badger shooting trip I'm running a minibus to Compton Dando.
