    Parents and teachers have been assured that school meals in Somerset are horse meat free
    School meals across Somerset have been tested following the horse meat scandal and all were found clear. Somerset County Council's Trading Standards team carried out testing on 28 samples taken from a broad range of school meal suppliers across the county. The students received their results yesterday (Thursday August 23) and many were delighted with what they had achieved, and quite rightly too.
