Contentious issue of late, it's difficult to rate the Tor Leisure at all at the moment save to say that it's Travestees Comedy nights are a real bonus for the town and it's a great venue even in it's current shoddy state for hosting them....comedy (in my opinion) is always better when it's in a bit of a seedy, grubby, tired venue with sticky tables and nicotine yellow celings but that's just me. Could be fabulous if our (once) esteemed local authority do the right thing and chuck some money at it to give the community the kind of venue we all crave.......

ReportTravestees comedy that happens on a Wednesday every month (not in Summer) is amazing. The acts are incredible and in my humble opinion this place has the perfect atmosphere for a comedy club. Totally recommended (but I dont know what its like when comedy isn't on!).
Gloryfied drinking hole and has done nothing for sport in Glastonbury i'm afraid. The only real leisure is drinking. When it was sports club it had County Cricket and the best grass courts in Somerset. Along came the tories and did a deal with Eastern Counties and f88ked the whole thing up. They couldn't wait to get rid of it. The vast number of people who use it' who can't tell the difference between a tennis ball and a football is on the increase. Sorry not for me. As a pub' fine,as a sports club crap. The owner is a nice chap though,i just wish he could change it a bit.

ReportThis place used to be the social club for Morlands until the mid-1980s, but now is an all round entertainment venue - as well as being home to Glastonbury Cricket Club and Bowls Club, rounders, frisbee and junior football also take place. There's a great function room at the back, which is the venue for Travestees Comedy Club, as well as a sometime cinema and venue for small concerts as well as a function room for hire. The main room is a social area to watch big screen sports, while there is even a children's room making it a very family friendly place.
