Snowdrops, Primroses - is Spring, Springing?

I don't know about you, but when I opened my eyes first thing in the morning, peering towards the bedroom window and wondering how long I can cling onto the duvet for before glumly getting on with the daily grind, the appearance of bright morning sunshine and the promise of a lovely day makes it a bit easier to face the start of the day.

Morning dew on primroses
This morning was lovely, wasn't it? A true and proper crisp, fresh sunny morning, the promise of Spring and the end of gloomy old winter. I went on my merry way with my own spring in my step and encountered my first sighting of snowdrops, followed later on by some primroses.
Lovely! It inspired me to tidy up the small patio area we have, remove some rather sorry looking, very dead plants which did not survive the snow, and bring in some bulbs to plant, ready for the warmer weather. It's no surprise that people find the long, cold, dark winters so tough - let's hope that days like today lift the spirits and blow away the cobwebs!

At least the Daffs will come out at the proper time year and not in February. The real springs in my early years were Daffs at or just before Easter.
